Here’s what you’d do:

The Production Specialist will serve as a trainer and mentor for Operation Managers and Supervisors to ensure that understanding of Brightview culture, quality, and production efficiencies.    

You’d be responsible for:

  • Conducts monthly training sessions for Operation Managers
  • Mentor Operations Managers and Supervisors in the following areas:
  • Continually look for new innovations, ideas and creative means to increase production efficiencies. 
  • Stay current with new technology, test effectiveness and implement into production through hands on training of product(s).
  • Eliminate waste and create systems to track the effectiveness of innovations
  • Identify production improvements specific to the site
  • Review consistency of quality across all jobs within Branch/Region
  • Make recommendations to upgrade the quality and care of the sites
  • Conduct walk-throughs with Operation Managers to get a fresh set of eyes on the property.
  • Teach/develop the “Brickman Look”; creating consistency of appearance throughout job sites and effectively branding the Company image.
  • Teach proper horticultural techniques and practices to improve the health and quality of site.
  • Work consistently with Operations Manager and Supervisor utilizing tear sheets, estimating tools and other on-the-site forms/tools to increase the productivity of staff on site.
  • Teach/develop site quality standards as a practice for customer service.
  • Teach consistency of Best-Known Practices.
  • As applicable, share training and mentoring sessions with other Regions

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Must possess a two- or four-year degree in a Landscape or Business related field and/or equivalent experience of 10-12 years in a Landscape maintenance or similar industry environment.  Prior supervisory or leadership experience desired.
  • Must possess knowledge of plant and turf identification and care, including disease and insect knowledge; standards units of measure; basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area and square feet.
  • Skill set includes good communication both written and verbal, excellent customer service, ability to solve problems using reasoning and judgment.
  • Must be able to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, back blowers.  
  • Must possess a valid drivers’ license, pass a DOT physical, and obtain a CDL license, if necessary.
  • Must be able to leverage 50 lbs. of a walk behind mower over curbs; walk 2-10 miles a day; carry up to 30 lbs, stoop, stand and bend up to 9 hours or more a day; lift branches and limbs; push, pull, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items.
  • Working knowledge of computer software (Windows 95, 98, XP, Microsoft Office, and COINs), computer hardware and computer servers.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and facilitation skills.
  • A self-starter with an outgoing personality.  Able to develop and maintain relationships.
