Here’s what you’d do:
The Senior Operations Manager for Sports Turf is responsible for a variety of proficiencies associated with Professional Sports Field(s) Management. The Operations Manager leads and manages aspects of renovations, new construction, support field maintenance accounts, as well as represents company interest in construction meetings. This role engages in field and facility consulting projects and develops long-lasting relationships and new business opportunities.
You’d be responsible for:
- Lead team members on construction projects.
- Capable of operating heavy machinery and providing precision grading services while providing training of supporting team members.
- Key team member critical for growing and expanding sports turf construction and renovation business.
- Accomplished sports field manager and capable of supporting PDL Audits
- Travel both internationally and domestically to support MLB business.
- Critical team member for all hands-on deck business execution approach
- Capable of proving project construction superintendent services for new renovation and construction business
- Oversee Las Vegas Ballpark field maintenance operations.
- Develop, support, and manage athletic field systems by way of design review, renovations, new construction, and maintenance opportunities at a professional level.
- Support companywide sports turf initiatives i.e., branch support and employee training, client interface, consulting, maintenance estimating and communication.
- Create and complete various types of technical reports and project reviews, bid proposals and RFP documents.
- Support key high profile projects and accounts to ensure client satisfaction.
- Responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings thoroughly.
- Work with Project Management Teams, participating in meetings, and representing company interests.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelors or associates degree in turf OR 3 years’ experience as an assistant professional baseball turf manager.
- Certified Sports Field Manager accreditation
- Working knowledge of day-to-day field maintenance operations
- Prior experience working on sand-based field systems.
- Strong work ethic
- Capable of working long hours including weekends and holidays
- Requires 60% travel both domestic and international.
