Here’s what you’d do:

In this role you will be a brand storyteller in voice and visuals responsible for supporting BrightView Landscape Development and BrightView Design Group in their active pursuit of new business.  Reporting directly to the Corporate Marketing Manager with a dotted line into the Executive Director of Design Group, this individual will collaborate closely with the sales team across the nation to organize, prepare, write, layout, and package compelling new business materials, such as proposals, RFP responses, qualification packages and presentations.  This job will begin by establishing the infrastructure for proposals and presentations and then pivot to supporting large pursuits.  This position is deadline driven and requires a strong ability to multitask while maintaining creativity and keeping the brand identity edgy and current while aligned to BrightView.

You’d be responsible for:

  • Creating a simple and complex master proposal and presentation template plus packaging materials for new business pursuits that the sales team can utilize
  • Customizing proposals and presentations for the most sought-after, strategic or large new business pursuits, including project managing production schedule, liaising with operations and sales teams, formulating theme and messaging, writing or editing content, designing and packaging content
  • Building parameters for what proposals and presentations utilize master templates versus receive customization and a desired production timeline, working with internal constituents to build consensus
  • Creating and keep current a library of boilerplate content for proposals
  • Training existing and new sales team members on how to use the proposal system and work with leadership to ensure compliance in quality and messaging
  • Organizing presentation rehearsals and deliver feedback for improvement, as needed
  • Creating a packaging system of branded materials for proposals and presentations, plus a housing and distribution plan for materials
  • Creating a scorecard to measure proposal win percentage
  • Write, maintain and manage a library of project profiles, employee biographies, proposals and presentations
  • Working with Corporate Marketing to assist in maintaining a photography database
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all materials
  • Actively participating in conference calls with other regional offices / branches
  • Attending company training as required
  • Performing any additional duties as directed by the Marketing Manager and Executive Director

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent grammatical, proofreading and editing abilities
  • Strong graphic design principles and experience translating ideas into visual graphics
  • Strong computer literacy (word processing, graphics and presentations)
  • Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information
  • Knowledge of the A/E/C industry and marketing fundamentals
  • Reliable, dependable and punctual
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of A/E/C industry experience – Large, multi-office firm experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing support for new business development writing proposals and presentations
  • Adobe InDesign Creative Cloud– Advanced skill
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Creative Cloud– Intermediate or advanced skill
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook) – Advanced skill
  • Occasional travel to regional offices and jobsites
