Description

We are currently seeking a Certified Scrum Master to join our client's team. Our client is located in Redmond, WA. This position can be remote with minimal travel to the client site (10%). 

You will be part of transforming the way a team manages identification, design, implementation, and operations to provide services to field resources so they can scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Organize and facilitate the daily scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning/Road mapping as needed by the scrum team(s). 
  • Work with teams in collocated or remote contexts, across international time zones.
  • Remove impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. 
  • Provide metrics on Sprint progress and discuss impediments as necessary for leadership. 
  • Manage Scrum artifacts and Sprints as well as maintain documentation about Agile processes and ceremonies using Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS).
  • Establish consensus on opportunities for Agile process improvement and report outcomes to management. 
  • Act as Agile mentor and coach for assigned Scrum teams to ensure that Agile Scrum practices are socialized and in use. Resolve process questions.
  • Foster ownership and accountability for quality of process and work product.
  • Deliver Sprint goals.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or equivalent certification.
  • One to two years of experience in the Scrum Master role, preferably in multiple organizations, in contexts that afforded knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Well organized, with excellent communication and mentoring skills, and experience as a collaborative influencer.
  • Experience working with offshore teams preferred.
