Associate positions are full-time entry level consulting positions. Candidates must have an expected graduation date between December 2024 and July 2025. 
The BRG Retail Performance Improvement (RPI) practice specializes in providing strategic, operational, and financial advisory services to retail companies, private equity firms, management teams, boards of directors, investors, hedge funds, and other lenders on companies across the retail space.  
Comprised of experienced, hands-on professionals that are results-oriented and data-driven, the market leading BRG Retail Performance Improvement practice collaborates as partners with management teams to identify and implement operational improvements  that maximize value for stakeholders. Furthermore, the practice has deep operational experience to deliver interim management to companies in need of C-Suite level experience and targeted surge resources to ease the pressure on management teams.  
The BRG RPI team is part of a larger Corporate Finance practice that has in-depth experience across a wide range of industries and markets, including but not limited to retail, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, energy and technology. Across sectors, BRG has experienced professionals who understand the challenges clients face — making it well-equipped to help solve clients’ issues.

The BRG Retail Performance Improvement practice is seeking to add professionals due to client demand and market opportunities. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment on a diverse range of retail performance improvement assignments. Articulating findings and recommendations around the key financial, business issues, and value drivers are critical components for this position. Our team solves critical operational challenges for our clients across the following areas:  
  • Retail operations and performance analysis
  • Inventory management and optimization
  • Customer experience & store operations enhancements
  • Product to market strategy and execution
  • Sales and margin improvement strategies
  • Supply chain and global sourcing optimization
  • Organizational design and effectiveness
This position offers advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing, dynamic and fast-paced consulting firm in an entrepreneurial environment.  
Responsibilities  
  • Support Retail Performance Improvement team on client engagements in conducting analysis, developing recommendations around operation improvement initiatives.
  • Execute multiple tasks across a consulting engagement including conducting interviews, operational/financial modeling and client presentations.
  • Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including retail performance analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment; collaborate with RPI and BRG experts, professionals from other firms, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
  • Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development.
  • Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity.
Qualifications  
  • Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field;
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data;
  • Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendations;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, and other stakeholders or professionals;
  • Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly;
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills;
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team dynamic;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing work demands and learn quickly;
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word;
  • Willingness to travel when/if needed.
This role will require travel to client sites ~80% of the time, with the remaining 20% being a combination of remote work and/or work from a BRG office (https://www.thinkbrg.com/offices/)
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future. 
Salary range: $88k-93k
