Overview
 
The Executive Assistant supports BRG Corporate Finance’s Office Leader and other Managing Directors in the NYC office. The ideal candidate is a polished and experienced professional who takes initiative and enjoys working in a results-driven entrepreneurial environment. The individual must exercise excellent judgment in a variety of high-stakes situations, anticipating needs and being proactive while also balancing multiple priorities and managing expectations.
 
Communication/Coordination
  • Develop a strong partnership with and understanding of the work of the Office Leader and the team and be an engaged, sophisticated facilitator of their effectiveness in executing BRG Corporate Finance's strategic and operating goals.
  • Provide a bridge for smooth communication and coordination of activities between the Office Leader’s office, direct reports, BRG experts and other internal departments.
  • Provide support for the practice activities of several senior client-facing experts with the ability to broadly understand the context and requirements of their work.
  • Display a high degree of discretion with sophisticated ability to recognize and handle sensitive and highly confidential information in an appropriate and compliant manner.
Schedule/Calendar Management/Travel
  • Provide meeting logistics support including coordinating conference calls and other meeting technologies, meeting rooms, catering services, and other reservations as needed.
  • Coordinate business travel arrangements, both domestic and international, this may include obtaining visas, booking of accommodation, flights, car services, etc.
  • Handle time and expense reporting.
Client Support/Project/Engagement
  • Support senior experts in various client interactions including set up of new matters, client/partner correspondence and meetings plus billing and collection.
Business Development/Contact Management
  • Assist Office Leader in planning client marketing events, selection of venues, coordination with venues, execute "day of event" supporting activities, and be a thought partner in creatively identifying opportunities to drive client engagement.
  • Support Office Leader with contact management; keep track of recent interactions and create reminders for appropriate follow-ups activities.
  • Work with Director of Business Development and Marketing in ad hoc activities.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience: Three (3+) years of support experience, preferably in  professional services, investment management or investment banking settings.
  • Technical savvy is key - intermediate to advanced computer skills required in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred plus a demonstrated ability to assess, research and enjoy resolving information technology challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including executive team, experts, staff and other external partners.
  • Forward-looking thinker who demonstrates the ability to anticipate needs, proactively solve problems and combines a willingness to take initiative with sound judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals, multi-task and prioritize activities in a rapidly changing high-stress environment and be adaptable to various competing demands.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, exceptionally organized and proven time management skills.
  • Resourceful team-player with the ability to self-motivate, manage and work independently.
  • Demonstrated consistently positive approach along with the highest level of customer/client service and responsiveness.
  • Excellent verbal skills coupled with proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Flexibility in adjusting work schedule on occasion and willing to work overtime as needed.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $115,000 per year.
