BRG seeks a full-time, experienced Director of Revenue Operations. The candidate must be very flexible and highly committed to quality, customer service, teamwork and supporting Firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment. We need a professional with demonstrated process improvement, leadership, communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. The Director of Revenue Operations will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and is a hybrid position based in Emeryville, CA or Dallas, TX.
 
Duties will include but are not limited to: 
  • Lead the creation of a team to direct all revenue cycle functions including contract set up, employee time capture, rate maintenance, client billing, cash receipts (in conjunction with Treasury) and collections 
  • Develop and implement revenue cycle initiatives that achieve strategic goals consistent with the firm’s priorities and vision. Optimize processes to reduce burden of revenue cycle activities on billable professionals and enhance the experience of clients and client-facing teams. Improve service KPI’s, increase billing speed, accuracy, and efficiency and reduce DSO’s
  • Lead change management to implement new and “best practice” approaches to business processes to improve customer service and revenue cycle efficiency. Pilot use of and adopt new technologies, including AI.  
  • Create and modify policies and procedures to address customer needs, compliance, efficiency, and internal control requirements
  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to analyze the business process lifecycles, metrics and key performance indicators to improve operational efficiency and controls through process redesign and automation 
  • Establish benchmarks for accounts receivables, and work with staff to improve performance when key indicators show benchmarks are not being attained
  • Lead a team and evaluate their performance by establishing clear objectives and providing constructive feedback on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving and action planning skills to improve internal and external operations.
  • Prepare written goals and objectives for departmental activities and translate these into successful plans of action for self and team members. 
Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years revenue management required
  • A team player in a highly collaborative, team oriented organization. Lead development of opportunities and management of team resources to grow the business
  • Strong executive presence and professional image. High comfort level interacting with the highest levels of client leadership
  • Ability to develop, plan and initiate process improvements
  • Experience managing change for complex processes and operations
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple objectives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage priorities of self and team to meet assigned deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technologically literate and comfortable participating in IT driven discussions and problem solving. Experience with relevant financial systems and packages (Workday or similar ERP solution, Microsoft Office Suite) 
  • Committed to quality customer service (internal and external)
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
In addition to professionals with direct experience in similar roles, we are also willing to consider current and former consultants, attorneys or other producers in professional services business who wish to transition from client-service to an internal management role and have demonstrated interest and significant engagement with the managerial and administrative aspects of their firm’s operations.
 
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.       
 
Salary Range:  $220,000 - $260,000 + bonus
