This position will work remotely.
Work Hours 8:00am – 5:00pm EST

Job Description: 

The Aftersales vehicle technician is to provide a first point of contact for Braun dealers, OEM dealerships, and repair facilities that have issues with our converted vehicles that need to be resolved quickly and correctly. The very nature of our vehicles requires that they must operate in a reliable manner to provide for the special needs of our end user customers.  This position is unique and very satisfying; you will find that you are not just fixing a Braun product; you are also helping customers regain their mobility and independence by applying the technical skills you developed over the years.

Responsibilities:

The aftersales Vehicle Technician will help our dealer technicians diagnose BraunAbility WAV’s, find the correct parts to repair our products, negotiate reasonable labor allowances for repairs, document communications with our dealers, place parts orders and authorize warranty.  These responsibilities will be fulfilled through a variety of different means, including:  call center calls, email, live on-line chat, fax, web contact services. 

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive, electrical, or mechanical fields required.  Experience across multiple vehicle lines preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of BraunAbility products preferred. 
  • Strong grasp of OEM vehicle systems and how our conversion interacts in order to properly diagnose issues, preferred
  • Strong electrical background preferred
  • Computer skills to be able to move quickly between several different programs during “live” calls required  Good communication skills to interact personably with our customers is needed 
  • Must have convicting personal values that will help the candidate work well with the vehicle team, driven to learn what is required and happily accept constructive correction
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), or equivalent preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment leading the implementation of lean manufacturing concepts required. A combination of education and experience equal to 15 years will also be considered.
