UX/UI Designer

BraunAbility is seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer who has a strong and diverse portfolio of working in UX and UI design. This person will be proficient in modern UX & UI design tools like Adobe XD and enjoy prototyping and front-end design. The UX/UI Designer will translate our customer and business needs into engaging, simple and intuitive website design solutions. This person will deliver concepts that evolve and enhance the website interface and overall customer experience. As the only UX/UI designer at the organization, you will be expected to execute and evangelize best-in-class UX design solutions and collaborate with our internal stakeholders, dealers, customers and business unit teams to deliver human-centric website design solutions. The UX/UI designer will utilize the power of design to help our mobility customers easily find solutions that improve the quality of their lives. Since we are a lean team, the UX/UI designer will play a role across all of our digital design elements expanding from our web presences to email communications and website banner creation and optimization. The ideal candidate will be possess an understanding of web and mobile technologies and graphic design along with the ability to work closely with front-end developers and business teams from concept to deployment.

Organizational Relationship:

This position will report to the Marketing Technology Director and will work closely with the marketing teams, Customer Experience Group (CEG), retail business unit, and external development partner to develop our websites’ designs.

Specific Responsibilities:

Develop a deep understanding of our customers, our products, our target audience, and the buyer’s journey. Understand our audiences and how to deliver a best-in-class web and mobile experience that exceeds internal and website visitor expectations.
Conceptualize, research, design and produce website designs.
Tell complex business and technical stories through compelling web and mobile designs. Create web site designs that will easily move our visitors from prospect to conversion
The UX/UI designer will work closely with the website content manager as well as the development team to ensure the build out of concepts and pages from start to final, live design deliver the desired experience.
Advocate for the customer through human-centric design methods including discovery, research, ideation, whiteboarding and user testing.
Accountable for engagement across our 4 website presences: braunability.com, unitedaccess.com, abilitycenter.com and getmywav.com. Relentlessly find ways to increase conversion rates across each site and improve the online experience.
Support and lead design workshops and design review sessions to engage others, receive feedback and collaborate with other departments. Present work on a regular basis to marketing team, development team and website stakeholder committee.
Support website launches with testing accessibility and usability and also ensure final page meets design expectations
Prepare and maintain web design library including style guides, journey flows, story boards, digital personas, site maps, visual strategies, page layouts, processes, icons, buttons and color palettes using Adobe XD component library files.
Help manage website feedback surveys. Reviews analysis and feedback to implement suggestions that will improve the site and user experience.
Fosters a culture of testing and learning to push innovation forward. Develop new ways to think more broadly about leveraging owned communication channels and meeting out customers at the right place and right time with relevant content.
Support design of other digital elements and have the flexibility to pitch in when email design and website banner design is needed.
Actively research new platforms, technologies and trends to elevate our website.
Provide strategic consultative support to Retail and European digital and design team members.
Work closely with third-party development partner.


  • Knowledge of B2C/B2B/B2P website design for cross-channel experiences
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe, Sketch and/or Figma.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience as a creative visual designer working on solving user experience problems and design for web
  • Deep understanding of a range of design approaches and methodologies, using prototyping and wireframing
  • Experience user testing, usability testing, and working with user acceptance criteria
  • Experience utilizing Google Analytics and Crazy Egg data
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Previous experience working with Jira or a project management tool
  • Collaborative – able to effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and coordinate with various departments
  • Strong time management skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and self-directed; able to manage time, competing tasks and meet deadlines for concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of successful experience organizing and completing detailed projects accurately, and ability to deliver on deadlines and within defined budgets
  • A “test and fail fast” attitude
  • Someone who is not afraid to question status-quo


Bachelor's degree in user experience design, graphic design, industrial design, or related field preferred
2+ years' experience in UX and UI design
B2C experience preferred
