Director of Technical Program Management

Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive operational program leadership, delivery governance, and cross-functional visibility across all Brahma AI workstreams. Working alongside Product, Project, and Engineering Leads while partnering closely with the CTO and VP-level stream owners, your domain is program mechanics, operational capacity, dependency mapping, and executive risk visibility—focusing on cross-stream alignment rather than hands-on delivery, or daily sprint management.  While our enterprise clients expect rigorous execution, our core AI capabilities and underlying architectures evolve at high-growth startup speed. You will establish the lightweight governance mechanisms and single source of truth needed to maintain momentum, manage resource trade-offs, and track company-wide milestone progress. 

Key Responsibilities
1. Governance Architecture & Cross-Stream Visibility (50%)

• Governance Cadence: Design, establish, and run lightweight delivery governance forums (such as stream syncs, cross-functional alignment reviews, and executive steering touchpoints) to drive operational accountability.
• Dependency & Risk Tracking: Proactively map cross-stream dependencies, track commitments, and evaluate downstream operational impacts before technical or scheduling conflicts escalate.
• Single Source of Truth: Centralize real-time visibility over company-wide milestones, resource allocation, and capacity constraints.

2. Strategic Delivery & Trade-Off Visibility (30%)

• Capacity & Roadmap Alignment: Synthesize internal product priorities against custom client commitments while maintaining real-time visibility into actual engineering capacity to identify resource constraints early.
• Trade-Off Surfacing: Present objective, data-backed trade-off scenarios and delivery feasibility assessments to VP stream owners and the CTO, enabling rapid, informed decision-making.

3. Foundational Operations & Program Scaling (20%)

• Foundational Architecture: Define and establish lightweight, standardized program management workflows, tracking mechanisms, and communication protocols that lay the ground for a scalable program discipline as Brahma AI grows.
• Operational Process Improvement: Continuously refine cross-stream handoff protocols to eliminate friction between platform, AI foundation, and product delivery teams.

Must Haves

• Senior Program Experience: 8–10+ years leading complex, multi-stream operational programs within fast-paced software, platform, or technology organizations.
• Governance Design: Proven track record of designing, implementing, and running program governance models, dependency mapping frameworks, and risk-tracking systems from scratch.
• Technical & AI Literacy: High-level technical awareness of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or generative AI workflows—enough to evaluate dependency impacts and communicate effectively with engineering leads without directing technical execution.
• Objective Trade-off Surfacing: Exceptional ability to build transparent tracking systems that objectively surface capacity bottlenecks, resource conflicts, and cross-stream risks to VP and C-level executives without getting pulled into political arbitration.
• Dual-Delivery Balancing: Demonstrated experience balancing internal core platform development against custom enterprise client deliverables.

• Foundational Program Builder: Experience laying the groundwork for program management disciplines or operating as a founding IC TPM in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
• Enterprise & SaaS Exposure: Background operating in environments that combine enterprise-grade client delivery with standard SaaS product roadmaps.
