Director of User Acquisition

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of User Acquisition/Director of Paid Growth to help Boxycharm drive growth through our multi-million dollar paid marketing program, using rigorous customer and data analysis. You will own the strategy and execution of Boxycharm’s paid channels and manage a small team of direct performance marketers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and mentor the user acquisition team, fostering strategic thinking, a sense of urgency, and collaborative culture
  • Lead acquisition efforts both hands-on and as a mentor
  • Create a culture of relentless optimization and experimentation across UA channels 
  • Stay current on the user acquisition landscape, growth trends, best practices, and competitor strategies to develop new ideas and initiatives for growth
  • Set up efficient workflows and systems to manage user acquisition campaigns in a fast-paced environment and continuously innovate to improve them
  • Collaborate with our brand team to produce top-performing assets
  • Work closely with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to support the organization on communication and messaging needs

What We’re Looking For

  • BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in direct response marketing (preferably in the subscription space)
  • Proven success managing and optimizing multi-million dollar marketing budgets across multiple digital channels
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business strategy to data analysis and recommendations
  • A desire to innovate on UA methods and improve strategy
  • The ability to do both strategic planning and daily execution/optimization
  • Ability to lead a team and develop exceptionally talented individuals
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and spoken

Bonus if You Have

  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Experience working with Tableau or Looker 
  • Past experience in subscription/beauty space
