JOB TITLE: Accounts Receivable Accountant

 

LOCATION: Arlington, TX

 

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

 

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Finance

 

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for processing invoices, contract billings, and the Accounts Receivable receipts (cash, credit card, other).

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Process Sales Billing.
  • Deposit funds using a check scanner or going to the bank.
  • Apply Deposits to Sales invoices.
  • Monitor AR Aging and contact customers with overdue accounts.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Contract Review for contract performance obligations.
  • Assist with 1099/1042 preparation.
  • Journal Entry Preparation.
  • Prep Credit Card Entries.
  • Filing.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • General understanding of Accounting Principles.
  • Microsoft Great Plains, preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  •        Must be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar years of experience, preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Intermediate user of Excel.
  • Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 20lbs.
