Job Summary:

As a Front End Engineer, you’ll work closely with the rest of our design, engineering, product, and data team to turn ideas into tangible user experiences. You'll combine your keen design sense, stellar front-end chops, and the right technologies, to realize these ideas and validate them with users. Your wizardry will translate design concepts into living, breathing prototypes and finished products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
  • Develop products of the highest quality through strict attention to visual and interaction details
  • Code primarily using JavaScript and HTML/CSS
  • Develop object-oriented performant JavaScript
  • Develop using responsive and adaptive web development strategies
  • Utilize and contribute to our core UI standards
  • Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering


Education and Experience:          

  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, Object Oriented JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax
  • Solid understanding of high performance, JavaScript best practices
  • Bring an understanding of best practices in design, optimization, interaction, and usability
  • An understanding of most common Object-Oriented programming design patterns
  • Basic Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Ability to write well-abstracted, testable, reusable code for common UI components in JavaScript 
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Ability to create interfaces that are fast, consistent across browsers, and demonstrate an intimate knowledge of browser quirks and best practices
  • Continual learning of emerging technologies/industry trends
  • Extremely detail oriented down to pixel-perfect implementation and yes, we mean pixel perfect
  • 3+ Years developing highly dynamic web applications
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience coding with a strong understanding of SEO
  • Experience with Object Oriented programming design patterns
