Job Summary:

 Bodybuilding.com is looking for a VP of Marketing that takes a customer obsessed approach to drive growth of our fitness membership, BodyFit, as well as growth of our ecommerce business. You will work with the Chief Customer Officer alongside leaders of Content, Community and Social Media, Creative Design and Advertising. You will develop and execute strategies to clearly communicate the value of BodyFit as well as the supplements and fitness products sold on BBCOM to targeted audiences with a focus on continuously helping our customers live a healthier, happier life.  The ideal candidate has worked to communicate the value of membership to passionate audiences, understands the subscription business model, understands the Bodybuilding.com customer, moves fast, and is eager to try new strategies.  As a senior leader, you will lead various internal marketing teams, including our content marketing team (SEO), our lifecycle marketing team (email, push, in-app) and performance marketing (paid social, PLA, SEM, Display, Affiliate/Influencer).

 A Day In The Life:

  • Develop and execute the strategy for acquiring new BodyFit members, retaining existing members and re-acquiring churned members. This includes a paid acquisition strategy with profitable Subscriber Acquisition Cost by channel, as well as a strong cross-channel lifecycle strategy that continuously highlights the value of BBCOM solutions to our customers at every stage of their fitness journey
  • Develop and execute the strategy for acquiring and retaining new BBCOM supplement and fitness product customers, including paid acquisition and lifecycle management.
  • Formulate a well-informed, data driven marketing budget that provides clarity to operations and the executive team
  • Recruit, lead and train a high-performing team of digitally-savvy marketers to support the strategic goals of the business
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics to structure reporting and perform data analysis that ensures the business and marketing team is making informed decisions when deploying marketing budgets and the team’s time
  • Collaborate with Product, Store Operations, Content, and Community/Social Media, and Creative teams to understand the value of our solutions and ensure we provide consistent messaging when those solutions are merchandised across all of our channels
  • Collaborate with Product to ensure we develop clear, structured communication around the deployment of new feature sets and product launches

  • Expertise in digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, ComScore etc.), attribution models, and reporting on key marketing metrics such as Customer/Subscriber Acquisition cost and ROAS
  • Ability to closely manage timelines on concurrent campaigns supporting diverse business goals
  • Up-to-date on industry developments and competitor’s strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to influence partners and senior leadership with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong ability to glean insights and tell a story from data and analytics, inspiring action and change
  • Strong experience managing a team of dedicated professionals
  • Hands on experience with paid digital campaigns (SEM, Display, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and overseeing vendors and platforms
  • Comfortable in an ever-changing environment
  • Scrappy “startup mentality”
  • You are an innovator by trade and not afraid to try out of the box ideas
  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree preferred or equivalent in work experience
