2026 Bermuda Monetary Authority ILS and Long-term Business Internship Programmes

The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is the integrated regulator of the financial services sector in Bermuda. The Authority supervises, regulates and inspects financial institutions operating in the jurisdiction. It also issues Bermuda’s national currency, manages exchange control transactions, assists other authorities with the detection and prevention of financial crime, and advises Government on banking and other financial and monetary matters.
The Authority develops risk-based financial regulations that it applies to the supervision of Bermuda’s banks, trust companies, investment businesses, investment funds, fund administrators, digital asset businesses, money service businesses, corporate service providers and insurance companies. It also regulates the Bermuda Stock Exchange and the Bermuda Credit Union.

We have two internship opportunities and now accepting applications:
- The 2026 Bermuda Monetary Authority ILS Internship Programme. The successful intern will work with the Authority’s Insurance-linked Securities’ (ILS) Team while gaining exposure to a variety of ILS business models that exist in Bermuda. Interns can expect to be exposed to business plans, financial statements, annual reviews, and a variety of supervisory activities related to ILS supervision in Bermuda.
- The 2026 Bermuda Monetary Authority Long-term Business Internship Programme. The successful intern will work with the Authority’s Long-term Business team while gaining exposure to a variety of Long-term Business models that exist in Bermuda. Interns can expect to be exposed to business plans, financial statements, annual reviews, and a variety of supervisory activities related to Long-term Business supervision in Bermuda.
These internships are open exclusively to students on the 2025 – 2026 ILS Bermuda College Program. The internships will take place during the summer of 2026 and will run for six to eight weeks.
