Refrigeration Technician

Shift: 2nd Shift
- This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position that will provide technical support to our maintenance and operational teams. By responsibly operating and safely maintaining ammonia refrigeration and plant boiler systems.Essential Duties
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Trouble shoot electrical and motor controls systems.
- Operate monitor, maintain, and repair plant boiler systems.
- Perform equipment preventive maintenance and track in a CMMS system.
- Perform daily rounds documenting facility equipment performance.
- Work with maintenance leadership and technicians to improve equipment reliability.
- Communicate daily with plant and maintenance leadership on equipment and system status.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
- Contact and maintain relationships with MRO venders and OEM equipment venders for technical support.
- Work with and help manage contractors performing repairs on plant equipment
- PSM program support.
- Provide documentation for EPA compliance records.
- Help maintain critical spare parts and service parts inventory.
- Continuous improvement of the plant PM program.
- All other duties assigned by the maintenance leadership.
Minimum Job Requirements- High school Diploma or equivalent required. College degree in a related field preferred. Ammonia refrigeration operator certification preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance field.
- PSM program experience.
- Ability to be on call for emergence plant support.
- Experience operating and maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Experience with CMMS. (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration and steam systems.
- Electrical trouble shooting experience.
- Troubleshooting motor controls.
- Computer proficiency is required.
- Food Processing experience preferred.
- Cleanliness and organizational skills are a must.
