Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager – Corporate Training & Development, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, and auditing Blount Operations Training & Development programs across single and multi‑unit environments. This role supports long‑term employee development, ensures compliance with corporate requirements, and maximizes employee potential. In the event of an absence, this position will be filled by trained personnel.
Shift: 1st Shift - but flexibility across all shift is required.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Oversee Training and Development programs to ensure consistent and successful execution across all shifts.
• Develop, implement, and audit designated programs and personnel, ensuring optimal program execution and establishing ROI metrics.
• Partner with the Sr. Manager – Corporate Training & Development to design consistent programs across all locations.
• Support counter associates, subordinates, and program owners across all shifts to achieve departmental and corporate goals.
• Lead Training & Development initiatives within the manufacturing environment, continuously mentoring and developing employees.
• Work with Shift Managers to identify and prioritize Operations development needs across all shifts.
• Create, implement, and update required Operations training programs.
• Assist with the development, scheduling, organization, and execution of Operations T&D programs using internal and external resources.
• Perform other responsibilities requiring similar skills and working conditions as assigned.
Positional accountabilities
• Serve as a teacher, mentor, and positive influence in the development of Operations staff.
• Research, recommend, and help coordinate development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, events, and online courses.
• Ensure program development and execution consider platform application and operational needs.
• Maintain an active floor presence on all shifts, continuously mentoring and developing staff.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to ensure effective use of position and resources.
• Adhere to established departmental budgets.
• Perform other responsibilities requiring similar skills and working conditions as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversight and mentoring of shift assigned Positional Instructor T&D team members to obtain established departmental goals and assure positional growth.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities for Food Safety
- Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly as applicable.
- Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food and Employee Safety policies.
- Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
- Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
- If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s).

- Fluency in either Spanish or Portuguese preferred, but not mandatory.
Education and/or Experience
- 3–4-year degree and 3-4 years of “training/teaching” or Supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education/work experience required. This person should have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to multi-task, ambitious, and have teacher and mentor mentality.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- This position requires the ability to travel; pre-employment and screening of Motor Vehicle Record every two years and personal automobile insurance coverage in accordance with the Blount Fine Foods Employee Handbook
