Description

This opportunity allows interns to immerse themselves into the Indirect Procurement department by overseeing key functions to complete the procurement cycle. While assisting Indirect Procurement with administrative functions that support day to day fulfillment and long-term strategic supply agreements, interns will gain skills and knowledge for their career in business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned. 

  • Assist in the MRO and Packaging item set up and approval process 
  • Confirm order pricing and update PO’s in eMaint software. 
  • Submit and track orders in our internal inventory system. 
  • Set up new vendors with our AP team. 
  • Confirm shipments and update purchase orders with accurate ETA information. 
  • Follow up on new item departmental sign off – send reminders to department leaders when necessary 
  • Confirm order pricing and update PO’s in X3.
  • Coordinate key inventory counts within the plant.
  • Other responsibilities with similar skills and work conditions assigned. 

Education and/or Experience                        

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, economics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to learn X3, SharePoint, and Safety Chain software programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and change focus as needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Good project management or organizational skills
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work and problem solve
