Primary responsibilities will include:
- Installing and managing central computing systems & servers and their associated operating systems
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex cloud-related issues, including infrastructure problems, Citrix issues, application performance issues, and security-related incidents
- Using monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to identify potential issues, performance bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within Azure resources
- Investigating root causes of issues, providing detailed post-incident reports, and suggesting proactive measures to prevent reoccurrence
- Assisting with the deployment, configuration, and support of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, App Services, SQL Database, and Azure Functions
- Analyzing Azure infrastructure performance and recommending improvements for cost, performance, and security
- Working closely with SRE, Developers, and Operations teams to ensure seamless cloud operations and to drive improvements based on support insights
- Providing documentation to guide operations personnel in the day-to-day functions associated with hardware and operating systems environments
- Planning and implementing OS/software upgrades
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in deploying, and managing applications and infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft windows administration
- Proficient knowledge in deploying and managing Azure environment
- Proficient knowledge in Installing and Administration of MS Windows 2019/2022 Server
- Familiar with Installation/Administration of IIS
- Familiar with DNS concepts
- Familiar with Networking - TCP/IP
- Familiar with Microsoft Exchange Server
- Familiar with Citrix XenApp / Windows Terminal Server
- Familiar with Installation/Administration of SQL Server 2019/2022
- Extensive knowledge of File and Printer Sharing and Active Directory
- User access management
- Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Usage of monitoring and performance analysis tools
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting will be added advantage
- Incident, Problem and Change Management processes
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified Professional with current Microsoft Technologies
- ITIL V3
