Job Description


This is a Staff Level Accounting position reporting to the Director, Accounting with primary responsibility of ensuring proper recording of treasury entries and related balance sheet assets and liabilities.


The Staff will play an integral role around general ledger recording within our Finance department. Specifically, he/she will:

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in accounting for treasury accounting entries and associated bank reconciliations.
  • Help maintain processes and procedures for treasury entries including researching and provind coding for monthly transactions that impact the treasury account modules and ledgers.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in accounting for operating expenses, vendor expenses, payroll expenses, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses & other accounting areas managed by the general ledger accounting team.
  • Assist in improving utilization of financial applications using PeopleSoft Query, PowerBI, Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Report Manager and other tools to satisfy GAAP reporting requirements including the quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with the monthly close process helping ensure an accurate and timely close.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with a rigorous close deadline.
  • Help assist third party auditors to ensure timely year-end audit/review preparation.
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls impacting all accounting areas managed by the general ledger accounting team.
  • Support general ledger accounting team efforts with IT, operations, and other members in accounting to drive accounting system and reporting improvements.

  • Detail oriented with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with varying levels of employees
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree in Accounting; with 3+ years’ work-related experience in a relevant position
  • Strong computer skills: Proficient Excel skills and other Microsoft Office products
