Project Engineer
Description
We are hiring a Project Engineer to work out of our Newport Beach Office!
BKF has an immediate need for a project engineer with strong technical abilities and experience in water resource project design. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of technical work in small to major projects. Provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers in preparing current project status for keeping clients informed on progress and internal reporting. Supervise/coordinate and help lead the team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Drainage Plans
- Drainage and Flood Design
- Pipeline Design
- Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
- Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
- Federal, State, City and County Standards
- Conceptual Studies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in drainage, hydraulic, and hydrology modeling.
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required.
- Professional Engineering license in the State of California is preferred but not required.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery required

Pay:
- The typical base salary range for this position is $94,900 - $117,900 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
