The Senior Financial & Budgeting Analyst position is a strategic role responsible for complex financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to guide executive decision-making. This position acts as a liaison between Operations and the Finance department, providing data-driven insights to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. Responsibilities | |
- Leads key financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
| - Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to provide financial insights that support operational decisions, strategic planning, and business growth.
| - Develops and maintains complex financial models to forecast future performance, evaluate new business initiatives, and assess investment opportunities like mergers and acquisitions.
| - Creates and manages reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the company's financial health and present findings to management in a clear, concise manner.
| - Analyzes financial risks, recommends mitigation strategies, and ensures all financial processes and reports comply with company policies and legal regulations.
| - Identifies and implements improvements to financial processes, reporting, and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
| - Leads the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting activities; partners with various departments to develop their budgets and provide variance analysis to explain differences between actual and planned results.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Expertise with financial planning software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
| - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling; experience with financial software like ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and FP&A software (e.g., Hyperion, Tagetik) is also highly valued.
| - Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for conveying complex financial data to both finance and non-finance audiences.
| - Ability to dissect large, complex datasets and identify trends, risks, and opportunities is crucial.
| - Capacity to connect detailed financial analysis to the company's broader business objectives and market trends.
| - Strong critical thinking and the ability to identify financial problems, analyze their impacts, and propose viable solutions.
| - Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with various teams and stakeholders across the organization.
- Professional certifications like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Working at a desk, analyzing data, creating reports, and attending meetings.
| - Uses a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other office equipment efficiently.
| - Close vision for reading financial documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
