The Role

 

The HRIS Manager is the subject matter expert of BSD’s Core HCMS, business process design, compensation setup, end user experience and reporting and analytics. This position is focused in data analysis and compilation and is accountable for the development and distribution of critical reports/dashboards to the organization. This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within the HCMS to support the administrators of compensation programs, annual performance reviews, benefits, payroll, collective bargaining agreement and all ad hoc reporting efforts.  This position reports to the Sr. Director of Human Resources and Talent Management

Salary Range: $84,750.00-$98,875.00

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Talent Acquisition on hiring, developing onboarding plan, and goal setting for HRIS new hires.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Schedules regular one on one meetings to ensure optimal performance management
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal HR information services systems, which may include database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Oversees and maintains internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security, as applicable.
  • Collaborates with IT to install, implement, modify, and upgrade software and applications to meet changing business and technology.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to staff members and internal partners, as applicable.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners and HR staff to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Monitors permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for services users.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by business partners and and HR staff.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
  • Oversees the procurement of appropriate hardware and software to ensure that the organization has high quality, efficient systems.
  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.

  • Thorough understanding of database construction.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively conduct virtual presentations and training sessions.

 

Education

Experience

Degree: Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology or Human Resource Management required. Professional Certification in Human Resources or IT related area, preferred

 

Years: At least five (5) years of database management or related experience required with at least one year in a supervisory position.
