SUMMARY

The PSP and Diagnostics position is responsible for leading the assessment, development, implementation, and management of Patient Support Programs and diagnostic services to improve patient access to therapy. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including commercial, medical, regulatory, and market access teams, to develop programs that provide value to patients, healthcare providers, and the broader healthcare community.
 
This position has an International scope composed mainly of six sub-regions: Northern Latin America, Southern Cone, AMEA, West Europe & Canada, North & East Europe, and Turkey & Russia. Scope of function might vary depending on the sub-region business model and strong partnership with sub-regional marketing individuals is crucial.
 

The position will report to the International Senior Director of Commercial Performance and Operations.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Patient Support Program Development and Management
  • Design and implement Patient Support Programs that offer education, resources, and assistance to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure PSPs align with regulatory and compliance requirements while supporting patient access and adherence to prescribed therapies.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data insights to optimize and improve patient engagement and outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee financial aspects of the PSPs, including budgeting, vendor management, and reporting on ROI.
  • Diagnostic Strategy and Implementation
  • Develop diagnostic strategies that facilitate accurate patient identification and diagnosis, aligning with therapeutic and commercial goals.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with diagnostic labs, technology providers, and healthcare institutions to support access to testing.
  • Oversee implementation of diagnostic initiatives, partnering with training to deploy initiatives for healthcare providers and ensuring quality assurance in testing processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and medical affairs, to align PSP and diagnostic initiatives with brand strategy and goals.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for healthcare providers, offering training, support, and education on PSP and diagnostic offerings.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities, feedback, and outcomes, ensuring all documentation is audit-ready.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect and analyze data from PSP and diagnostic programs, including patient outcomes, adherence rates, and satisfaction.
  • Report on key performance indicators and insights to senior leadership, highlighting successes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, healthcare, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in PSP, diagnostics, or patient access roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare system, including patient journey, diagnostic testing, and reimbursement landscape
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance guidelines for PSPs and diagnostics
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data to make strategic decisions and improve program effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on tight timelines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting challenges and optimizing program performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus
