BioMarin Pharmaceutical Japan K.K. was founded in 2012 as 100% owned subsidiary of BioMarin Inc.  This position is to support and execute overall People agenda for the business with 45 people in collaboration with the global team.

 

Position Description:

Sr. Associate in People will provide comprehensive HR support for those works in Japan.  The primary responsibility of this role is to execute both strategic and operational HR agendas while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with people leaders to identify issues and improve the organization.
  • Collaborate with both local and global hiring managers as well as agencies to support talent acquisition initiatives (including onboarding).
  • Develop and implement local people programs and People Dept. initiatives
  • Administer and update our benefit programs ensuring the data is regularly updated and shared with various stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Management of People team systems such as JobVite (TAS) and King of Time (Time mgmt. System).
  • Communicate with employees and act as their coach, mentor, supporter.
  • Coordinate People team related trainings and events.

 

 

Must have: Minimum Requirements:

-          5 years of related HR professional work experience

-          Actual working experience in a corporate environment.

-          Experience in end-to-end Talent Acquisition process (including managing agencies)

-          Some experience in benefit administration, occupational safety committee, policy creation, time management, medical exam administration

-          Proven ability to build and maintain cross functional relationships, gaining trust and respect with various stakeholders

-          Multi-task capability

-          English proficiency business level (both oral and written) is must.

-          PC Skill Microsoft office applications

 

Nice to have:

-          Employee Relations, Payroll, Social Insurance knowledge

-          Occupational Safety Management License (class 2)

-          Knowledge in pharmaceutical industry
