SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for optimizing and ensuring marketing processes, driving operational efficiencies, and supporting the execution of marketing strategies to achieve business objectives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, and works in strong partnership with Business Units (BUs) and the Business Insights and Commercial Excellence (BI&CE) teams.  This role also liaises with other teams such sub-regional marketing team, medical, regulatory, and finance, to ensure seamless implementation of marketing campaigns, adherence to compliance standards, and alignment with brand and business goals. The role also includes overseeing performance metrics, budget monitoring, and vendor partnerships to support effective and impactful marketing operations.
 
This position has an International scope composed mainly of six sub-regions: Northern Latin America, Southern Cone, AMEA, West Europe & Canada, North & East Europe, and Turkey & Russia. Scope of function might vary depending on the sub-region business model and strong partnership with sub-regional marketing individuals is crucial.
 

This position will report to the International Assoc. Director, Integrated Planning and Governance

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Develops and manages workflows, standard operating procedures and best practices to streamline marketing operations and increase efficiency in strong partnership with BUs and BI&CE
  • Partners with brand and digital marketing teams to ensure the timely deployment of content and materials across all relevant channels.
  • Monitors budget allocated to International, tracks expenses, and oversees forecasting to ensure cost-effective and ROI-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Leads International vendor management activities, including selecting and overseeing external agencies, managing contracts, and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Partners with BUs and sub-regions to ensure all marketing materials and activities comply with internal standards, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Works closely with regulatory, legal, and medical affairs teams to gain necessary approvals for specific International marketing content and campaigns.
  • Analyzes data from marketing campaigns to assess performance, including metrics such as engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • Creates and presents reports and dashboards to track KPIs and support data-driven decision-making for future campaigns and strategies.
  • Utilizes customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for marketing optimization and growth.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams, including sales, market access, medical, , to ensure alignment and collaboration on marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams on marketing operations processes, providing guidance as needed.
  • Leads special projects, such as system implementations or process improvements, to support the growth and efficiency of the marketing organization.
  • Partners with BI&Tools  implementation of marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools), ensuring they support strategic goals and enhance marketing performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, commercial operations, or related roles in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional projects
  • Proficiency with marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations, including GDPR, and digital marketing compliance
 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and derive actionable insights.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing complex projects and workflows, with attention to detail and adherence to timelines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders and present insights.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player capable of coordinating across departments and managing external vendor relationships.
  • Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of marketing technology tools, data analysis, and the ability to adopt new digital tools as needed.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, Spanish is a plus
