The Global Solution Manager is responsible for the Sterility Testing portfolio management and commercial success of the SCANRDI® and BACT/ALERT® Rapid Sterility solutions within the Global Marketing team of the Pharma Quality Control (QC) Department of bioMérieux Industry Application Unit. Working in a matrixed international environment, the Global Solution Manager leads Global Marketing activities throughout the Product Development Process (PDP), from Development through Launch and Lifecycle Management, maximizing solution performance throughout the product lifecycle. The position collaborates closely with the R&D, Scientific Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional organizations to ensure successful development, commercialization, business continuity, and long-term customer value.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Business, Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the global business vision, planning, performance, lifecycle strategy, and roadmap for the SCANRDI® and BACT/ALERT® Rapid Sterility solutions, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, supply continuity, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead Global Marketing activities throughout the Product Development Process (PDP) during the Development, Verification, Launch, and Lifecycle Management phases, ensuring customer and business requirements are successfully translated into commercially viable solutions.
  • Partner with the Rapid Sterility Marketing Manager, Regional Marketing, R&D, Scientific Affairs, and cross-functional stakeholders to refine product requirements, support development activities, contribute to governance reviews, validate customer value propositions, and ensure global launch readiness.
  • Develop, implement and lead lifecycle portfolio strategy SCANRDI® and BACT/ALERT® Brands, and lead marketing plan definition and execution with KPI’s management.
  • Lead lifecycle optimization, sustaining engineering priorities, product enhancements, obsolescence planning, and cross-functional execution in collaboration with the Rapid Sterility Segment Manager, Regional Marketing, R&D, Scientific Affairs, Operations, and Supply Chain while supporting annual business planning and portfolio governance.

Brand Management and Commercialization

  • Conduct downstream marketing activities (business planning and forecasting, G2M/GOM, training, MarCom) serving Product Development Process and business opportunity Go / No Go decisions towards your management, governance and bioMérieux organization.
  • Build annual marketing guidelines, Brand marketing plan and Communication roadmap in close relationship with Regions/Subs, scientific affairs, Global & Strategic Key Account and communication teams.
  • Own commercialization planning and execution, including global go-to-market and go-out-of-market strategies, launch planning, positioning, pricing support, commercial enablement, customer communications, migration strategies, and post-launch performance monitoring.
  • Drive brand performance and build value proposition talking to the right key customer stakeholders with the right messages, financial tools, value selling content demonstrating the real value of our offer in line with our business ambition. Build and deploy value based selling training toward the sales and marketing organization.

Global Business and Customer Support

  • Support strategic customer opportunities, issue resolution, and commercial initiatives while representing the Rapid Sterility solutions through customer interactions, scientific conferences, industry events, and key account engagements.
  • Develop commercial tools, training programs, launch materials, and marketing content to enable successful execution by Regional Marketing and commercial organizations worldwide.
  • Collaborate with Sterility Global Marketing Manager to deliver all macroplanning deliverables including, global pricing book, solution ambitions, marketing guidelines, brand plans, and product rationalization/hierarchy.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Required Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life sciences discipline.
  • 7 years of experience in sterility testing, pharmaceutical quality control, rapid microbiological methods, or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with 5 years of that experience in Product Management.
    • experience can include: product management, solution management, marketing, pharmaceutical microbiology, biotechnology, or related life sciences.

Preferred Education, Training and Experience

  • MBA or Advanced degree
  • Experience supporting product commercialization, lifecycle management, or Product Development Process (PDP) activities 
  • Knowledge of sterility testing, pharmaceutical quality control, rapid microbiological methods, or biopharmaceutical manufacturing 
  • Familiarity with stage-gate product development methodologies, portfolio governance processes, and pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks is

    • Advanced: demonstrates deep knowledge; manages complex tasks and integrates multiple tools independently.
  • Fluent in English: fluency in French is a plus. 

 

Working Conditions

  • Domestic travel required: 20%, International travel required: 30%
  • Total travel required: 50% 

 

The estimated salary range for this role based in Illinois is between $142,200 – 186,800. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
