Position Summary: 
Assist in managing departmental processes by directing, assigning, and actively participating in work activities to achieve departmental goals. You will be responsible to the Department Manager for the efficient operation of your assigned area(s). Additionally, you will assist with daily labor functions within the department. The typical working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM..  
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Fill in and perform Departmental Manager’s duties when manager is absent.
  • Perform full appraisal duties for their employees.
  • Participates and provides input in interviewing, hiring and termination activities.
  • Supplies and monitors data that measures department performance.
  • Provides input to the departmental budget.
  • Identifies maintenance needs of equipment, to include recommendations to replace equipment. 
  • Establishment of work teams for overlapping coverage.
  • Assure work force is trained according to established procedures.
  • Assure corrective action is implemented when the requirements of a process or procedure cannot be met and or maintained.
  • Consistently uphold all company policies and provide understanding of their implication and effectiveness.
  • Maintains warehouse and work areas following 5S principles.
  • Leads/participates in 5S audits.
  • Counts physical inventory of all raw materials in the warehouses as required.
  • Writes new procedures as needed.
  • Maximize accuracy, minimize errors and increase inventory accuracy of all parts processed.
  • Ensures compliance with all cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations for all warehouse activities.
Education, Skills, & Experience: 
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in material handling, inventory management and/or warehousing, to include 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations.
  • Understanding of how to operate and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to use material handling equipment such as a floor jock, hand truck, order picker and forklifts.
  • Knowledge of materials management and inventory accuracy principles.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and 5S principles.
  • Shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
