Description

This marketing role manages all aspects of current and future bioMerieux Molecular Panels product development for some dedicated clinical areas, from voice of customer collection, to concept design and to development.
This position works closely with system and software Global Marketing team, with Global Marketing Market Data & Insights, R&D, projects and programs, Global Customer Service, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, Legal Affairs, Compliance, Medical Affairs. Main objectives will be to define product objectives, mapping out appropriate strategies, and executing effective solution tactics to address unmet customer needs.
Job Duties
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux’s quality system.
Executes:
  • Market research across all regions
  • Marketing contributions from project proposal through go-to-market strategy
  • Management and support of gathering requirements for new Molecular panels through voice of current and future customers
  • Development of panel and menu strategy, a solution roadmap
  • Post market surveillance
Develops with minimal supervision:
  • Technical guidance and specification on product development for IVD device functions
  • Segmentation, targeting and positioning strategy
  • Product value streams across bioMérieux Molecular solutions
  • Pricing strategy
Monitors and generates actionable insights into:
  • Competition
  • Market trends
  • Pricing effectiveness
  • Customer behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes
  • Market opportunities
  • Market research and business intelligence needs
  • Clinical data gaps and analysis
  • Product features that address unmet global medical needs
  • Health outcomes and economic research pipeline
Interfaces / works closely with and/or manages:
  • Global, regional and local marketing colleagues globally
  • Customers
  • Internal R&D, Manufacturing, Legal, Quality personnel
  • KOLs and bioMérieux advocates
  • 3rd party agencies
  • Company executive management
Training and Education
• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, health-related, or business-related field; MBA preferred
Experience
• 5-7 years of successful marketing product management ideally with international exposure or other relevant experience preferably with diagnostic or medical products
• Lab and/or clinical experience preferred; not required
• Experience in international markets preferred

  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, is highly desired, but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of marketing regulated clinical diagnostics, preferably in the field of infectious disease
  • Ability to adapt go-to-market strategies to variations in markets across the regions
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers some complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Interacts and presents technical information to audience with various levels of scientific experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to accommodate working hours for interaction with global counterparts, as needed
Travels up to 20% of time, domestic and international.
