Sr Material Handler

Position Summary
The Senior Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, movement, shipping, and receiving of materials, including inventory checks. The role supports key areas such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality, and is integral in meeting division goals. This role interacts with various internal teams (Sales Admin, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Material Handling, Planning) and may impact both internal processes and external customer satisfaction.
Position Duties
- Pull and pack product orders, check lot numbers and weights, and prepare carrier documents.
- Receive, process, and properly label products from manufacturing or suppliers.
- Stock products, maintain 5S, and ensure inventory accuracy and safety compliance.
- Perform physical inventory counts in warehouses and coolers.
- Manage departmental paperwork to record material transactions.
- Maintain warehouse/work areas according to 5S principles and participate in audits.
- Follow all safety policies and participate in safety and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with leaders to ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and FDA guidelines.
- May drive a truck to transport materials between locations.
- Provide training to other team members.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in the department.
- Perform all work in line with company quality standards and procedures.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
Preferred
- Additional years of logistics, shipping, or warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with WMS procedures.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing (cGMP, ISO, FDA) environment.
- Demonstrated process improvement or compliance participation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Consistently upholds core ethical principles and values.
- Effective in communication, written/verbal and presenting technical information.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods, ascend/descend stairs/ladders, wear PPE, operate heavy machinery, lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Detail orientation and problem-solving.
- Adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Resource planning and time management.
Working Conditions (Summary)
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse/logistics environment. Must be able to wear required PPE, operate heavy machinery, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, and lift and move up to 50 pounds.
