PCR Technician II
Description
- Responsible for performing all duties of a PCR Technician I and works under limited supervision for routine situations.
- Responsible for accurately manipulating all reagent and sub-assembly formulations into production-ready formats with minimal additional instruction.
- Responsible for the Tech Transfer process of new assays from Industrialization and/or R&D Departments as discussed and assigned by direct PCR leadership.
- May assist R&D and Industrialization with product or process development efforts.
- Provides assistance and training to lower-level employees as discussed with PCR leadership.
- Assists with quality event documentation as assigned under the guidance of Quality Department and/or PCR leadership.
- Present continuous improvement opportunities to leadership through team and individual initiatives.
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- HS Degree or GED required,
- BS in Biology, Chemistry or similar technical field preferred
- 1+ years of applicable lab-based experience.
- Detail orientation to complete tasks without errors and produce high-quality work.
- Manage and meet competing deadlines, requiring careful prioritization and time management to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Written Communications - including the ability to communicate technical data in written form
- Build and maintain positive, productive interactions with colleagues
- Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
- Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
