BioReagents Formulator – D Shift (3/4 X 12) Thursday - Saturday, every other Wed Night Shift

The BioReagents Formulator I is responsible for:

  • Efficiently, accurately, and safely manufacturing BioReagents products and sub-assemblies, including FilmArray.
  • Weighing, measuring, and checking raw materials to ensure that manufactured products contain the proper reagents and qualities.
  • Operating manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to manufacture regulated products in accordance to QSRs, company policy, and safety regulations.
  • Completing assignments that are routine in nature and recognizing deviation from accepted practice.

This position requires organization, attention to detail, the ability to follow written directions, and fine motor dexterity. Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures is required. The BioReagents Formulator I works under the immediate direction of the Formulator Team Lead and reports to the Reagent Production Supervisor. The BioReagents Formulator I is expected to perform routine tasks with instruction and guidance from the Lead or Supervisor.

Primary Duties
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
  • Maintains records in compliance with regulatory requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Relies on pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.
  • Operates Production Equipment.
  • Responsible for wet and freeze-dried reagent formulations, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean environment of formulation labs and associated spaces.
  • May assist with in-process testing to assure batches or lots meet specifications.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Works under immediate supervision of the BFDX Formulation Team Lead and reports to the BFDX Reagent Production Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

Required Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory, manufacturing, or scientific experience involving activities such as preparing solutions or reagents, operating laboratory equipment, performing measurements or calculations, following written procedures, documenting work, or handling laboratory materials.

 

Preferred Education, Training and Experience

  • Preferred- Bachelor’s degree/4 year program with an emphasis on a biological science.
  • Scientific/laboratory experience.
  • Experience with cGMP.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The estimated hourly range for this role based in Utah is between $20.00 - 28.00. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
