Manufacturing Technician I - Swing Shift
BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. is currently in need of Manufacturing Technician I's to work our swing shift schedule of 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday - Friday. This position is responsible for manufacturing products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time. Operates manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to manufacture regulated products in accordance to QSRs, company policy, and safety regulations. Works on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. This position requires attention to detail and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Requires direct supervision or oversight by a senior employee. Works under immediate supervision of the BioReagents Lead Packaging Technician or FilmArray Pouch Line Lead Technician and reports to the BioReagents or FilmArray Production Manager.
Principal responsibilities include: (1) performing all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BFDX's Quality system, (2) manufacturing and assembling regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices, (3) operating production equipment, (4) maintaining records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures, (5) relying on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions, (6) maintaining organization and cleanliness of all designated manufacturing areas, (7) assisting with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications, (8) providing training when necessary to new technicians in your area, and (9) performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months experience in a production environment (either a cGMP manufacturer or an assembly line environment) preferred. Must be able to perform duties wearing a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
