Facilities become furnaces during the summer, but businesses still expect peak performance and productivity. Without providing the basic human right of comfort, that’s just asinine. Seeing how overhead fans cooled California dairy cows begged a massive question for our founder. “Can a fan be made to revolutionize comfort for people?” he uttered.
You’ll flex your skills in shipping, receiving, organizing, and documenting everything that comes through our doors, all while keeping things safe, smooth, and fully compliant with Canadian workplace standards. Standard Shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM
Compensation: $24-25 CAD per hour
What You’ll Do
- Champion Big Ass Fans’ safety and security standards by consistently practicing safe work habits and promptly reporting anything that looks off.
- Follow all safety procedures and work instructions to maintain top‑tier quality in every task.
- Handle the receiving and shipping of goods with accuracy, efficiency, and clean, detailed documentation—no missing pieces on your watch.
- Operate physical warehouse equipment confidently, including pallet‑wrapping tools, pump trucks, and powered material‑handling gear.
- Keep the warehouse looking sharp by helping maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.
- Build strong, positive working relationships with teammates across the company.
- Show up reliably—consistent attendance is an essential part of success in this role.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and a solid foundation for hands‑on, fast‑paced work
- 1–3+ years of experience in warehousing, shipping, receiving, or order picking; you know your way around a busy floor
- Comfortable working with barcode systems, scan guns, and ERP software to keep inventory accurate and organized
- Familiar with key documentation like bills of lading, packing slips, and RMAs
- Knowledgeable about ISO standards, OHSA, and WHMIS to ensure safe, compliant operations
- Certified and experienced in operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts
- Able to safely handle all packaging and freight‑handling equipment, including forklifts, strapping tools, RF devices, and basic computer systems
- Physically capable of lifting 40–70 lbs repeatedly—this role keeps you moving!

- Complete your Health & Safety orientation to get grounded in safe, confident warehouse practices.
- Get to know our products—what they are, how they move, and where they live in the warehouse.
- Meet the team and start building connections with the people you’ll be working with every day.
- Learn our core processes so you understand how everything flows from receiving to shipping.
- Begin hands‑on job shadowing with experienced team members to see the role in action and build real‑world confidence.
- Dive deeper into advanced role‑specific training to sharpen your skills and boost confidence.
- Take on more focused, hands‑on job training tailored to your daily responsibilities.
- Receive dedicated system training to help you navigate warehouse software and tools like a pro.
- Become increasingly self‑sufficient in performing all core warehouse duties with confidence and accuracy.
- Continue developing your expertise with ongoing support from supervisors and teammates as needed.
- Take greater ownership of daily tasks, problem‑solving, and workflow management.
- Grow into a fully contributing member of the team while still having access to guidance whenever you need it.
- First Conversation: You’ll be speaking with a BAF Recruiter! Here, you’ll discuss the opportunity more in-depth, and talk through any questions you have, as well as cover any details that didn’t come out in the video screen.
- Hiring Manager Interview: This will be an in-person interview with the Warehouse Supervisor and Managing Director. In this conversation, you’ll review in-depth details of the position, going over the day-to-day operations and learn about the role’s expectations.
