RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily & Operational Accounting - Keeping the Flame Steady
- Manage daily accounting tasks with precision and consistency
- Provide daily cash reporting to keep everyone warmed up
- Prepare bi-weekly cash forecasts—because we like to stay ahead of any financial cold fronts
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Jump in to support AP/AR when things get a little toasty
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany charge invoices
- Post recurring journal entries and assist with the occasional curveball
- Help with annual physical inventory (yes, we'll count things together—no sweat)
Month-End Reporting Support - Turning Up the Heat When It Matters
- Assist with month-end close for both Reznor and Roberts Gordon
- Prepare account reconciliations and roll-forwards
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and verify ending balances
- Support monthly variance analysis—discovering what’s heating up or cooling down
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax reporting (1099s, Sales/Use tax)
Process Improvement & Support - Keeping our Systems Sizzling
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to improve processes between the two companies
- Serve as backup support to the Accounting Manager—because even heat sources need a backup generator
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 – 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products; able to learn new computer programs quickly
- Experience with SAP or Epicor systems, preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams/departments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even when deadlines are tight and workloads are high
- Proactive and self-motivated with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility; a strong sense of urgency, active listening, and the ability to work independently or thrive in a team environment
