About the Role: 

The Total Rewards team is a dynamic group at the forefront of aligning employee rewards with the growth of the business. We engage and retain our employees and design our rewards programs to align with overall company objectives. We are seeking an experienced Benefits Analyst to join the Total Rewards team to help administer and optimize benefits offerings to our employee population in the US and Canada. The ideal candidate has experience in benefits programs throughout the United States including California and New York.

This role will also assist with compensation program execution including bonus programs and equity plan administration. 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as a face of the BFA People Team to assist employees with benefits related questions such as open-enrollment, leave/disability programs and enrolling new employees in existing plans.
  • Be the primary point of contact between the Company and multiple benefits vendors.
  • Responsible for executing company benefits strategies including troubleshooting existing policies, managing costs and invoicing, auditing and ensuring compliance in all jurisdictions. 
  • Prepare and analyze data to present to management.  Run and distribute regular reports and handle ad hoc requests.
  • Participate in compensation surveys (e.g., Radford) including conducting job evaluations to match positions against market survey positions.
  • Assist with compliance by ensuring applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements are adhered to.
  • Monitor, administer and/or accurately update employee information in various HR systems.
  • Support BFA’s compensation programs including base pay, short and long-term incentives, and stock option plans.
  • Ensure our pay programs remain market competitive with benchmarking and analysis.
  • Partner with our Finance team on issues related to benefits administration, payroll, and leaves
  • Track headcount changes and create reports that assess progress against yearly goals, quality metrics, and diversity numbers.
  • Collaborate with external partners on stock plan administration issues.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years working in an HR department or doing People-related job duties or any combination of experience and education which indicates possession of knowledge and abilities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments at a fast growing startup.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy of data, ability to prioritize and follow through on requests.
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, text message and in-person.
  • Proven ability to meet goals and assigned deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
  • Willing to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • Ability to research issues and provide guidance or referral as appropriate to ensure employee concerns are addressed.
  • Must be able to handle all HR/Payroll related information with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proven experience with HRIS/applications, Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Access, Visio.
  • Ability to multi-task, keep a positive attitude, and provide extraordinary level of customer service (to internal and external customers/employees).
