About the Role
We’re looking for an Industrial Engineer Manager onsite in our 575,000-square-foot Belton, MO warehouse to be responsible for identifying facility design, systems, and personnel requirements (using continuous improvement methodology) to help keep our operations running smoothly. Are you a hands-on Industrial Engineer that loves pairing data with system/process improvements and are well-versed in automation technologies that support lean manufacturing strategies? If you have 5+ years of experience providing recommendations and devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information (while creating/updating operating procedures) to deliver a moderately complex product, process, or system, this could be the perfect fit. You’ll partner closely with IPSY Supply Chain Operations leadership and our 3PL partners to provide creative solutions for process improvement and automation, to help us further simplify work flows and operations.
This role is onsite, based in Belton, MO (Please Note: We are not able to hire in the state of Kansas at this time).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work extensively with our 3PL teams to support SLAs (service-level agreements) and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Data Engineering, and Maintenance teams, to support ongoing projects
- Create and maintain KPI monitoring dashboards throughout our distribution center(s)
- Use advanced continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize, lead, and provide supply chain solutions for current and future operations by identifying bottlenecks, and evaluate and improve both processes and systems flow and safe utilization of labor within the distribution center and deliver a positive ROI
- Design and optimize manufacturing layout(s) incorporating material flow and headcount allocation
- Understand critical systems such as WMS, WES, Lighting pick, WCS
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required, with 5-7 years of experience supporting warehouse operations
- Working knowledge of Lean/Continuous improvement concepts
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of WMS, WCS, WES, Lightning pick
- Experience with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.
- Microsoft Office experience
Bonus if You Have:
- Availability to travel (up to 25% at times)
- Experience with BI software (such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience
- Ability to compose thorough and detailed technical documentation, job aids, procedures manuals, etc.
- Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable research with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; ability to produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
- Lean certifications and Six Sigma a big plus!
- Just In Time or Just In Sequence logistics experience

Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, IPSY also offers a bonus, equity grants and competitive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
