Lead Software Engineer - Frontend Design & Engineering
Our engineering team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to lead our Front-End Design & Engineering efforts. You’ll be working all aspects of front-end as well as the interface to the back-end engine. As a part of the development team, you’ll wear multiple hats, turn ambiguity into details, take the lead on building complex features and continuously find opportunities to improve the user experience. You will also be able to establish best practices and take our frontend engineering to an elevated level.
- Lead and mentor a small team of front-end engineers
- Advocate for end-user functionality while keeping business and engineering constraints in mind.
- Establish and adhere to best practices in Design Thinking and User-Centric principles.
- Collaborate with Designers, Product Owners, and other Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
- 6+ years of applied frontend engineering and design experience.
- 2+ years of leading teams/projects from concept to deployment.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies.
- Solid understanding of software design and architecture.
- Ability debugging cross-browser compatibility issues, and client-side performance optimization
- You have experience implementing software development best practices for code management, continuous integration, and automated testing
- Experience with AWS products
- Experience with Node.js
- Emphasis on creating reusable React components
- At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with React framework.
- Advanced visual design skills and tools proficiency (Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Technical ability to translate designs into reality (Invision, HTML, CSS, JS, After Effects).
