Technical Sales Director – Data Analytics, AI and Knowledge Engineering

Beyond Limits is seeking a Technical Sales Director that will serve as a bridge between customers, sales, and R&D.  As the subject matter expert on Data Management, Data Analytics, AI and Knowledge Engineering, you would learn about Beyond Limits’ Cognitive AI capabilities and educate customers and sales.  In addition, you would spend time with customers to understand their complex, technical challenges across various industries and inform other groups at corporate (e.g., sales, R&D, management).  You would use that information, with the guidance of R&D, to develop a scope document that defines the opportunity for Beyond Limits to solve customer problems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on Data Management, Data Analytics, AI and Knowledge Engineering,
  • Manage and partner with sales support, solution architects and product managers to ensure the team deliver compelling technical presentations and solution proposals,
  • Manage opportunity stages to help drive business and revenue objectives,
  • Support local sales in all project engagements from introduction and qualification to final project delivery into production; efficiently transition involvement of direct sales executives, product managers, and associated engineering team,
  • Understanding market trends in key and strategic sectors across South-East Asia and feed relevant information to our product development team,
  • Lead customer workshops and meetings to establish requirements for new features required in specific customer projects,
  • Support the conversion requirements into user stories for the software development team to consume in our agile software development process,
  • Meet with customers to gain an understanding of their processes and technical challenges,
  • Articulate customer challenges to R&D and work with R&D to architect/describe potential AI solutions,
  • Write the technical sections of proposals, scopes, and statements of work to support the sales team,
  • Present to customers to educate them about Beyond Limits, Cognitive AI and other solutions,
  • Guide customer understanding of Data Management, Data Analytics, AI and Knowledge Engineering,
  • Support the Data Science team by scoping unstructured problems or messy data for tractable insights,
  • Identify candidate statistical or machine learning solutions and test their efficacy,
  • Communicate technical work and findings both verbally and through written reports and visualizations,
  • Work in a collaborative environment to brainstorm, design, implement, and deliver solutions to challenging problems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Background (or educational focus) in Data Management, Data Analytics, AI or Knowledge Engineering
  • Strong software sales/pre-sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements and work within a project SoW, engineering, and sales resources to ensure complete user satisfaction
  • Possess the highest level of organizational ability, influence, and negotiation expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to create & present design proposals and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in English is a must
  • Experience in working in Energy, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Airports, MICE, Retail or Public Services
