What You Will Do:
With a passion for care towards residents, families and team members, the RAI Assessor is accountable for performing RAI related responsibilities in accordance with established policies and in compliance with the standards of the Canadian Institute of Health Information (CIHI) and Alberta Health Services (AHS).
Individual responsibilities will fall under six main areas of focus:
- Resident-Centered Care - Promotes service excellence through active participation with the Interdisciplinary team to achieve and maintain quality resident centered care within the scope of a RAI Assessor.
- Documentation: Accurately, comprehensive, and timely documentation of resident care assessments, interventions and outcomes in alignment with Bethany policies and procedures.
- Safety: Contributes to a safe environment for residents, team and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
- Pro-active Learner: Demonstrates the vision and values of Bethany and lives out the mission of Creating Caring Communities.
- Team Work: Cares for and works cooperatively with others as an effective team member.
- Leadership: Enables a high-performance culture through leading, developing and coaching employees.
What You Bring:
- Completion of Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- Completion of all RAI training modules
- Score of 90% or higher on yearly RAI competency exam
- At least 5 years’ of recent work experience with seniors and/or dependent adults in long term care
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with CLPNA
- Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Must demonstrate an acceptable level of reading, writing and comprehension of English language skills
- Strong observation, assessment, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Highly proficient with Point Click Care
- Current CPR
