ABOUT A MERCHANDISING SUPERVISOR: “Typical day” “What you’re getting into”
The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of Merchandisers while ensuring that merchandising needs across the market are met efficiently. In collaboration with Territory Managers, you will analyze data, review merchandising strategies, and adjust schedules to align with case volume trends and market demands.
You will oversee the onboarding process, including documentation and training, to ensure new hires are well-equipped for success. As the team leader, you will conduct both in-office and field-based training sessions to develop and support Merchandisers. You will monitor market trends and report findings and opportunities to the team.
A key responsibility includes managing seasonal staffing to address increased demand and working closely with the Recruiting Team to assist in the screening and interview processes of new Merchandisers. Additionally, you will take charge of implementing and managing software solutions that streamline communication and scheduling for the team.
Strong candidates are able to:
- Communicate goals and expectations to your team. Staff, train, develop, coach, recognize and provide ongoing feedback to your direct reports
- Monitor and ensure merchandising standards are followed in customer locations within assigned territory.
- Work with Territory Managers to understand sales trends, promote best-selling products, and increase margins of products within locations in assigned territory
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT MATCH IF YOU:
- Are 21 years of age or older
- Have a valid Driver’s License; driving record which meets Bernick’s standard
- Have a 2-year degree in sales or related field with grocery/retail experience preferred
- Previous sales and supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
HOURS: Full-time (45 hours per week)
- Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM or 7:00AM-4:00PM
- Weekend scheduling may vary depending on business needs

Base Compensation:
$55K-$72K
Potential Other Compensation (based on position eligibility):
Various bonuses, commissions, incentive pay, mileage reimbursement, etc.
