Health Plan Enterprise Account Executive

 

Benefitfocus, the leading producer of employee benefits software, is looking for an energetic, assertive and articulate Health Plan Enterprise Account Executive to join our dynamic team of sales individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience selling enterprise software and consulting services within the health insurance marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing 15-20 customers and growing business with target accounts within the Health Plan marketplace
  • Build long term relationships with C-level and VP’s within designated territory, prospecting, cultivating, and managing the relationship.
  • Analyze market and company information to build effective presentations and ROI models
  • Closing software services and solution transactions
  • Ability to generate leads through existing network, cold calling, and creative go-to-market strategies
  • Experience in producing and managing new business development plans and sales forecasts

Experience and Skills:

  • BS/BA degree required; MS or MBA preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences
  • Previous experience selling Enterprise level deals in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the health insurance market and insurance carrier business objectives
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • SaaS sales experience managing complex account relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Travel 25-50% required
