Position Overview: 
The Accounting team shares the Company’s financial status with leadership so that they can make fully-informed decisions that drive the Company’s long-term success. This position follows fundamental accounting procedures and assists the Controller, CFO and Accounting team in the day-to-day business. 
 
Ideal candidates for this position will be highly detail-oriented, well-versed in business finances, and eager to play an instrumental role in the financial future of the Company.  
 
Essential Functions of the Role: 
  • Prepare account reconciliations for all bank and balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processing.
  • Identify departmental deficiencies and make recommendations to management on system or procedural improvements.
  • Assist with preparation of internal and external financial reports.
  • Prepare financial statements for unconsolidated entities.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least three years of Accounting experience required.
  • Experience in mortgage banking or financial services preferred.
  • Experience with Bestborn Loan Vision System preferred.

Education / Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or the equivalent combination of a college degree plus years of experience is required.
 

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
  • Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
  • Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires sitting, bending.
  • Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
  • Lifting requirements of 10 lbs. occasionally.
  • Minimal travel <5%.
