Position Overview:

The Pre-Closing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the excellence of loan files in the pre-closing stage and working with multiple departments to meet document requirements for compliance and regulatory purposes.
Ideal candidates for this position are highly detail oriented, able to prioritize and multi-task multiple items, and able to work across organizational boundaries.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Perform Pre-Closing quality control audit of loan files and supporting documents reviewing accuracy, completion, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Branch partners, Underwriting, and Closing to resolve loan file issues.
- Review data input within LOS (Encompass) and ensure accuracy.
- Identify error trends discovered within the auditing process and communicate suggested improvements to management.
- Assist in coordinating closing schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
- One to two years residential mortgage experience required.
- Encompass experience preferred, but not required.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
- Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
- Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires sitting, bending.
- Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
- Lifting requirements of 10 lbs. occasionally.
- Minimal travel <5%.
