Position Overview:

One of the columns of Success with Benchmark is teamwork. With this role, it is imperative that collaboration and teamwork with business partners and appraisers are at the forefront to ensure smooth and compliant appraisal processing. The Appraisal Coordinator Specialist acts as a liaison between appraisers and retail branches through the appraisal process. 

Ideal candidates for this position will be highly detail-oriented, able to maintain good relationships with clients, and works efficiently in a dynamic environment.

 

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Call, email or text appraisers for status of orders for retail branches, VA and wholesale
  • Place new orders for retail branches, VA and wholesale
  • Locate new appraisers and submit for vetting
  • Pull appraisers into the appraisal management system
  • Manage the AE mail box
  • Handle revisions
  • Ensure completion of appraisal before releasing it to the branch
  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with retail branches and appraisers
  • Learn the panels and exceptions list for each branch
  • Handle special assignments and/or projects assigned by manager
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of AIR (Appraisal Independence Requirements)
  • Proficient with AMS (Mercury Network or Encompass)
  • Excellent keyboard/typing skills

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years of mortgage/wholesale appraisal experience required.
  • Experience with Mercury Network Encompass required.
  • VA process experience preferred.

 

Education/Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
  • Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
  • Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires sitting, bending.
  • Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
  • Lifting requirements of 10 lbs. occasionally.
  • Minimal travel <5%.
