Human Resource Business Partner
HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to designated business units, aligning business objectives with staff and management. The HR Business Partner also assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, conducts effective, thorough and objective employee relations investigations. In addition, the HR Business Partner will ensure that human resources services are provided in compliance with established policies, procedures and practices.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws. Works with operational leadership to develop strategic initiatives to achieve company goals.
- Lead with integrity, respect, high personal standards and build personal credibility.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation as it relates to hiring, compensation, performance management, internship programs, benefits and other related matters.
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as needed.
- Responsible for sending exit interviews, reviewing the data, and reporting on trends.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Conducts wage analysis to review local market data and partner with Sr. VP, HR on adjustments and make recommendations.
- Analyzes trends and HR metrics to develop solutions and programs. Works with operational leadership to conduct and develop talent strategies applicable to the business lines and geographic locations.
- Partners with the HR management team to identify opportunities for training and conducts monthly training to Leadership
- Assists with review of employee training programs via Relias.
- Will be involved in the job description process, writing, updating, and reviewing to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Reviews and reports on trends of the 90-day new hire survey.
- Partners with the Legal department and represents organization in legal proceedings, as needed.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.
- Must be present during working hours at the office in person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a BA/BS degree; 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, including HR experience, business partner or generalist experience with data, analysis, trends, and reports; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Multi-state to include CA and multi-location experience required.
- Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Strong sense of the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Superior communication skills and understand how to communicate large, complex change.
- Ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail and audit-trail documentation must be maintained in the face of multiple competing demands for your time.
- Initiative to take charge of unforeseen situations, solve problems and adjust to schedule changes.
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
