We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to build and oversee a team of security analysts who will be generalists within the information security and cyber security field. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in the field and will be knowledgeable in Application Security, IT and Network Security, Governance Risk and Compliance, and Cloud Security.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead and manage a team of security analysts in the information security and cyber security field.
- Provide training and guidance to team members.
- Monitoring networks for security events/incidents to detect active threats, intrusions, and/or compromises.
- Understanding the ever-changing global threat landscape and tracking changes in this area.
- Responding to security alarms and analyzing and escalating incidents by process or management.
- Engaging in incident management and response efforts.
- Providing first-line operational support for requests for security services.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, escalating, and/or remediating system health matters
What you bring to the role
- 7+ years of experience in any of the Information Security disciplines or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in cyber security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Known industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, standards, regulations and frameworks.
- Basic required technical competencies in: Application/System Architecture, Infrastructure, Networking, Requirements, SDLC, DevOps, Security.
- Intermediate level of technical competencies in: Configuration management and Testing.
- General understanding of Cybersecurity practices such as Least Privileged access, safe handling of secrets, and threat hunting.
- Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Python or a similar scripting language.
- Experience working with Git or general code repository experience.
- General understanding of Linux Operating Systems.
