We are seeking a Director of Internal Communications.  As the Director of Internal Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to effectively communicate with employees across all levels of the organization. Your role is pivotal in fostering an engaged, and informed workforce, ultimately driving employee morale and alignment with the company's goals and values. 
 
What you’ll be working on  
Leadership Communication Support: 
  • Advise senior leadership on internal communication best practices and opportunities to enhance communication effectiveness.  
  • Partner with the CEO and the executive team in crafting messages for company-wide announcements, all-hands meetings, and other internal communications and ensure communications reflect the voice of the executive.  
  • Build a framework for consistent cascading of information from CEO/exec team to leaders and to functional teams.  
  • Provide communication coaching and support to executives and managers as needed.  
Strategy Development: 
  • Partner with the CHRO and HR leadership team in developing the employee communication strategy.  
  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies aligned with the company's objectives, values, and culture.  
  • Identify key communication channels and platforms to reach different employee segments effectively.  
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure internal communication strategies are in line with broader organizational goals.  
Content Creation and Management: 
  • Align messaging to the Barracuda brand, company values and our corporate strategy. Ensure consistency of messaging and tone across all internal communication materials.  
  • Create engaging, relevant, and timely content for various internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, emails, videos, and presentations.  
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and tone across all internal communication materials.  
  • Manage content calendars and editorial schedules to maintain a regular cadence of communication.  
Change Management Communication: 
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing clear and timely communication to employees regarding changes in processes, policies, and organization structures.  
Measurement and Optimization 
  • Leveraging data from the employee surveys and other feedback to pivot/optimize  
 
What you bring to the role  
  • 10-12 years experience in Communications, with proven success in internal communications.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.  
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.  
  • Experience managing multiple communication channels and platforms.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization and cross-functionally. The ability to interface with C-level executives will be an important determinant of success in this role.  
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.  
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and engaging employees.  
  • Experience in change management communications. 
  • Agency and in-house company experience, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS company preferred
  • Experience working at a cybersecurity company preferred

Campbell, CA only. The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $200,000 to $221,000. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
