Director of NetSuite Practice
Description
Levata is a US-based, global IT services and technology distributor specializing in
barcoding, RFID, and related solutions. Levata is consolidating multiple business units, acquisitions, and global regions into a single, unified ERP/CRM platform. The Director of ERP/CRM Practice will lead this transformation. This role combines hands-on NetSuite expertise with the strategic leadership needed to standardize processes, stabilize our environment, and build a high-performing internal practice.You will design the global ERP architecture, establish governance, and guide subsidiaries in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Spain, and future acquisitions into a single NetSuite OneWorld environment. You’ll partner closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, and regional leadership to drive alignment, simplify complex customizations, and ensure reliable daily operations. This role requires someone who can communicate confidently with executives, understand the business quickly, and build trust across teams while leading a disciplined, scalable ERP practice.
The position is based at our Chicago headquarters and requires on-site three days per
week for team collaboration, leadership alignment, and cross-functional engagement. What You'll do:
Leadership & Governance
- Lead the ERP/CRM practice and build a high-performing Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Establish global governance for configuration, integrations, change control, and data standards.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and regional leaders to define enterprise-wide processes and system priorities.
- Create and maintain a multi-year roadmap for ERP/CRM modernization and consolidation.
Global ERP/CRM Architecture
- Design and maintain Levata’s global NetSuite OneWorld architecture across the U.S., U.K., Germany, Spain, and future acquisitions.
- Standardize core processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) while allowing controlled local variations.
- Manage multi-subsidiary structures, intercompany processes, tax/VAT rules, and global reporting requirements.
- Oversee CRM alignment with ERP for unified customer data and reporting.
Stabilization & Optimization
- Diagnose and remediate performance issues, customizations, and integrations that impact reliability.
- Reduce technical debt by evaluating existing scripts, workflows, and customizations (keep/kill/refactor).
- Implement a disciplined release process, test automation, and performance monitoring.
Integrations & Data
- Oversee integrations between ERP, CRM, Magento, and operational systems through Celigo, Boomi, or other middleware.
- Own enterprise data governance for chart of accounts, item structure, customers, vendors, and financial reporting hierarchies.
- Partner with Analytics/Insights to ensure accurate and timely data feeds for reporting.
Practice Management
- Manage a team of administrators, developers, and offshore resources.
- Define roles, skills development, certification paths, and performance standards.
- Establish documentation, training, and user-enablement programs for all business teams.
Execution & Program Delivery
- Lead phased execution of global ERP unification and subsidiary onboarding.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional dependencies.
Who You Are:
- Strategic and hands-on ERP/CRM leader who partners confidently with executives and guides technical teams.
- Skilled at simplifying complex multi-entity environments into one standardized operating model.
- Able to translate business goals into system architecture, governance, and scalable processes.
- Experienced working across Finance, Sales, Operations, and international teams.

- 10+ years of ERP/CRM experience, including 5+ years with NetSuite OneWorld.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-subsidiary, international ERP implementations or consolidations.
- Deep understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, intercompany, and consolidations.
- Strong experience with integration frameworks such as Celigo, Boomi, SuiteTalk, REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proven ability to build and lead ERP/CRM teams (admins, developers, offshore resources).
- Strong command of governance, change control, testing discipline, and environment management.
- Experience partnering with Finance (Controller/CFO) and Sales/Operations leaders.
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain system decisions in clear business terms.

Compensation expectations are in the area of 180k+
