We are seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Levata’s Miami warehouse and production facility. This leadership role ensures seamless coordination across inventory management, order fulfillment, production scheduling, and team productivity. The Operations Manager drives process improvement through lean manufacturing practices, ensures compliance with safety and ISO standards, and supports the professional development of staff. Acting as the on-site subject matter expert for our ERP and WMS, this role plays a critical part in aligning operational activities with company goals, enhancing efficiency, and delivering high-quality service and products.
What you’ll do:
Operations Management & Planning
- Oversee all aspects of daily warehouse and production operations, including inventory control, production scheduling, and order fulfillment.
- Plan and coordinate daily workflows, including pass-through orders and production moves, to meet demand efficiently.
- Design and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growth.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor warehouse and production teams, ensuring alignment with performance goals and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to coordinate activities and address concerns.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for operations staff.
- Conduct training needs analyses and develop targeted training programs and individual development plans.
Process Improvement & Systems Management
- Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing methods, including visual management, problem-solving, Kaizen, and KPI tracking.
- Serve as on-site SME for NetSuite and WMS; lead system training and enhancements to improve team proficiency and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate service and product quality, recommending and implementing improvements.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all warehouse and production operations meet safety regulations and ISO compliance standards.
- Establish and promote best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain a safe and organized facility.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or 5 years of related experience
- Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a Plant or Operations Manager capacity in a technical manufacturing or warehouse environment
- 3 years of experience with ERP’s and WMS’s
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping/facility optimization is strongly desired.
